The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions directed at women.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
